Marching into 2013

Okay, okay – I will actually make this my home page this year and begin the writing process. 

I am 6 months into a 9 month Centering Prayer Retreat. It has helped but I have not reached the true disintegration of self which I hope to achieve. My self, while useful, often does more harm than good with its never-ending search for attention.

Looked at homes with Megan and Dan today. I think it’s the right thing to do. Signed off and sent deposit for pond aeration – hope to have it all done in April.  John Wojciechowicz is going to do the electrical work and drop an outlet at the duck blind.

Quotes in on fencing Orchard and back field – about $5,500 and $5,000 per job. Got to think about this. Orchard is a no-brainer if I am ever to get apples. Back field is a no-brainer if I want to secure a farm assessment. So what exactly is there to think about? Is this the proper use of my resources?  Will the earth profit?  Will “farming” be more achievable?  Discernment is called for – center!

Fed the bees this Saturday (3/2/13) – both hives seemed to have survived the winter!  This is good news.
